Создаём новый документ нужного Вам размера. Заливаем фон чёрным цветом, для этого нажмите "D", а затем Alt+Backspace. Теперь идите в Filter > Render > Lens Flare (Фильтр > Рендеринг > Блик), поставьте яркость (Brightness) на 105-110%, а тип объектива выберите "105 mm" , этого должно хватить для картинок практически любого размера. Нажмите "ok" (да).
Далее идём в Filter > Distort > Polar Coordinates (Фильтр > Искажения > Полярные координаты), в диалоговом окне выберите второй вариант Polar to Rectangular (Полярные в прямоугольные) и нажмите "ok" (да).
Теперь жмём Image > Rotate Canvas > Flip Canvas Vertical (Изображение > Повернуть холст > Отразить холст по вертикали).
Снова идём в Filter > Distort > Polar Coordinates (Фильтр > Искажения > Полярные координаты), но на этот раз в диалоговом окне выберите первый вариант Rectangular to polar (Прямоугольные в полярные).
Должно получиться примерно вот так, уже что-то похожее на сферу, не так ли.
Возьмите Elliptical Marquee Tool (Инструмент "Овальная область"), для этого нажмите Shift и букву M (анг.), выделяем нашу сферу. Теперь инвертируем выделение Select > Invert Selection (Выделение > Инверсия) или нажимаем Ctrl+Shift+I.
Теперь нажимаем "Delete", чтобы очистить нашу сферу от не нужного фона. Перед удалением убедитесь, что слой разблокирован. Должно получиться так:
Ну вот собственно и всё, получилась довольно таки не плохая сфера, причём очень быстро. Так же можно добавить цветовой оттенок на свой вкус, для этого нажмите "Ctrl+B".
