1. Макро При выполнении макро фотографий, работа идет в узких диапазонах резкости. Это значит что нужно быть очень точным при фокусировке или же вы сфокусируетесь на неправильную область. Так же при макро съёмке может понадобиться штатив. Ручная фокусировка даст вам полный контроль при съёмке в режимах требующих предельную точность.
2. Слабое освещение Съёмка при слабом освещение бывает проблематичной для многих объективов и камер, когда дело доходит до фокусировки. Вы поймете когда ваша камера будет в растерянности. Объектив начнет прокручиваться от начала до конца, прежде чем поймет, на что фокусироваться. Переходим в ручной режим, и теперь можем быстро сфокусироваться на нужном объекте.
3. Портреты При съёмке портретов, нужно точно знать на что акцентировать внимание. Большинство фотографий требует что бы это были глаза(хотя на примере выше, это губы). Переходим в ручной режим и получаем полный контроль над объектом снимка. Можно выделить линии губ, носа или чего-либо ещё. Тут уже нужно проявить фантазию. В любом случае, вы сможете выбрать ту часть лица, которую и задумали.
4. Стекло/Заборы Если вы когда-либо снимали через стекло или забор, вы знаете как часто камера не понимает на чем нужно сфокусироваться. Будь это просто снимок из окна или зверей в зоопарке — камера окажется в растерянности. Принудительно фокусируемся на нужный нам объект.
5. Быстрое движение При съёмке быстро движущихся объектов(машин, самолётов) автоматика может сработать недостаточно быстро. Особенно когда в режиме «драйв» нужно будет каждый раз фокусироваться заново.
